At a party last night I told a friend whom I'm trying to recruit into my band that I've come up with a name for the genre -- "garage folk." He liked it and suggested I should Google it to see if there's a movement out there already, but I really don't see what Snuffy Smith's friend Barney has to do with anything . . .
(I'm not the only one to have thought of it. They’re out there.)
